Where do I start with my friend Julia.
Julia has been one of my oldest friends. She's been in my life for a very long time, and at this point is family to me. She became my neighbor when I moved across the city border of Philadelphia to Wynnewood when I was just five years old. I remember scraped knees and riding the bus to school with her every day from elementary school to our senior year of high school. We had homeroom together, we wandered the neighborhood together as teens, we had our ups, our downs and everything in between. She moved to New York for college and has lived there ever since, but we always make time for each other when she visits her parents in Philadelphia. My dad used to drive us home from school and sing Julia by The Beatles to her. Which is why I balled my eyes out when Julia and her dad danced to that song during her reception.
Ben is such a kind, patient and intelligent man. Which makes him the perfect match for Julia- who is just as smart and hardworking.
Julia and Ben's day was simple and sweet and perfect in every way! The clean lines of the atrium were a beautiful juxtaposition to the greenery. The rain held out for their outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour and just started as it was time for their indoor reception. Their fathers gave speeches, as did their friends. Julia and Ben gave a toast to all their family and friends, thanking them for all their support and love. And my favorite part of the day- the hora!
I cannot be more happy for my childhood friend that she has found her soulmate and someone to enjoy life with. Thanks so much to my second shooters Mike and Kristland for their creative eye and shooting with me in Brooklyn!
