Alli + Josh
What a celebration! Alli and Josh said "I do" this June at Fero Vineyards in the quaint town of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. The location was obvious for them, since Josh's family owns and operates the vineyard and makes such delicious wine! To share such a beautiful and meaningful venue with their friends and family was crucial when planning for their day. Inspired by summer and the green landscape these two went with shades of pink, white, and pale green to accent their day. The ladies wore differing hues of sage green and light gray while the boys donned pink floral ties and pocket square to contrast their gray suits. Their mismatched looks, when brought together, gave a unique sense of cohesion while still feeling fresh and modern.
When we asked Josh what his vision for the day was, we absolutely loved his response! "Our vision is simple. Make everyone cry. Then get everyone champagne buzzed off our families delicious hard work!! Celebrate into the night with one of the greatest groups of people ever assembled."
Their ceremony, officiated by Alli and Josh's friend, was full of smiles, tears, and so much laughter! Set amongst the vines of the vineyard and overlooking the neighboring farmland it was a picturesque spot to get married to say the least. The shining sun added to the joy of the occasion and a reading by a close friend ensured laugher from every guest. And the one thing that Alli wanted to see most, her groom tearing up, made everyone feel the love.
After the ceremony, guests made their way back through the vines down to the half-open half sheltered reception area. The tables were decorated with quirky bottles of differing sizes and filled with sweet and gorgeous blooms from Gibs Farm, a farm just minutes away from the vineyard. Above all else, and believe me there is plenty else, these two wanted to have a great time with all of their friends and family for the wedding day. They certainly achieved that! The joy in the air was palpable as all sipped the native wine and danced the night away. To conclude their first dance, Josh picked Alli up and twirled her around the room. Friends and family made toasts both heartfelt and funny. And the band joined the dancing crowd playing up-beat tunes. The most notable part of the day was the part that made me understand how deeply Alli and Josh's friends and family cared for them. Because Alli was nearing the third trimester of her pregnancy at the time of the wedding, they decided to a gender reveal with their cake cutting. When they cut the cake the inside was blue, indicating that they're going to have a boy. The excitement in that room when they first saw the color was unbelievable. Everyone was screaming and so excited for the happy couple.
