Carly + Nick
american swedish historical museum
We absolutely loved everything about this wedding, from the simple and elegant details, to the bright white church, to the tower of brightly colored donuts at the reception. This day started off close to home, with the bride and groom each getting ready at their respective parents’ homes. We love when couples choose locations that are unique and meaningful to them. It adds a personal touch that truly makes the day their own.
We then made our way to the beautiful St. Dorothy’s Parish, a gorgeous white church right on the Main Line. As Carly walked down the aisle Nick’s face lit up. He was truly smiling from ear to ear as he couldn’t contain his excitement. Following their traditional Catholic ceremony, we all headed to the American Swedish Historical Museum where we took more photos with the bridal party and couple. We lucked out so much and had a beautiful sunny day for this. I loved photographing them so much, they were such a fun couple and kept us all laughing the whole time. They trusted me to do what I was there for and you can see the result. Natural photos in gorgeous light. Carly and Nick rocked this photo session.
After all the portraits were done, the couple headed into their cocktail hour as we grabbed detail shots of the venue. And Oh My Gosh! The details, from the elegant flowers with trailing greenery to the string lights adorning the clear tent, and the sassy signage telling you to “seat yo self”. These two added so many classy elements with fun, personal touches that made this a wedding like no other. Needless to say, they danced the night away with their family and friends (and we may have hopped in there for a moment too!) having the best day ever!
We are so grateful to have been there to capture all the details, moments, and love on Carly and Nick’s wedding day!
