Meredith + Harry
hotel du village
new hope, pennsylvania
To say this wedding was unique would be an understatement! Meredith and Harry brought so much vision and bundled it all up into one day. Both the bride and groom are potters and fell in love through their shared passion. To add a personal touch to their wedding day, they created their own ceramic pieces to use as decorative elements throughout each space of Hotel du Village. From the many bud vases, and low bowls for flowers, to the plates used for styling their details, and a one of a kind dish with both of their faces etched in the center, there were so many handmade pieces that made this day like no other.
The ladies at BW Theory coordinated the day with expert styling that was both whimsical and dramatic at the same time. Matt Muscarella, the lead floral designer for Terrain, put together gorgeous centerpieces and installations with an eclectic sense that when lit with candles led to a romantic atmosphere. The entire venue was glowing with all of these gorgeous details!
Meredith even had a handmade dress for her wedding day. She asked an artist from Korea to handcraft her gorgeous gown which was so feminine and flattering on her. She wore a vintage crown with beautiful green stones, a reference to the earth and her love for pottery. All of her details were to die for, but I think her shoes stole the show! She wore floral Manolo Blahnik pumps in a silvery blue that truly stood out for a bridal look.
Meredith and Harry said their vows on the lawn of Hotel du Village as the sun was streaming through the backdrop of trees. I seriously couldn’t think of a better setting for their intimate ceremony. Friends carried the chuppah, which was made with a cloth from Harry’s grandfather, down the aisle to set the scene. Both of Meredith’s parents walked her down the aisle to her new soon-to-be husband. Their families stood alongside them as the ceremony processed, ending with Harry breaking the glass followed by a kiss. Their reception started with a musician from Sweet Megg and the Wayfarers playing the soprano saxophone as he led the guests into the space, a fun way to get the party started! The rest of the night was filled with jazz and dancing as guests moved around the romantic Colt Ballroom.
